Bortenat 2mg Injection

Bortenat 2mg Injection is a chemotherapy drug classified as a proteasome inhibitor. It contains the active ingredient Bortezomib and is used to treat multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is characterized by the cancerous growth of plasma cells in the bone marrow, while mantle cell lymphoma is a rarer cancer that impacts the lymph nodes. This medication is often administered alongside other chemotherapy agents such as pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, dexamethasone, prednisolone, or thalidomide for patients who have not yet begun treatment and are not candidates for blood stem cell transplantation.

Common side effects associated with Bortenat 2mg Injection include pneumonia, loss of appetite, skin sensitivity, tingling and burning sensations, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, constipation, muscle and bone pain, hair loss, fever, infections, itching, redness, dehydration, and gastrointestinal issues. If these side effects are bothersome or persist, please inform your physician.

Notify your doctor if you have an allergy to Bortenat 2mg Injection or any of its components. This medication should not be used if you have severe lung or heart conditions. Before beginning treatment, inform your physician if you have neuropathy (nerve dysfunction), cardiac issues, severe lung conditions, pulmonary disorders, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, gastrointestinal problems, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), neutropenia (low white blood cell count), tumor lysis syndrome (metabolic complications during cancer treatment), or liver disorders. Additionally, inform your doctor if you have diabetes, as this injection may influence your blood glucose levels.
