Kryxana 200mg Tablet is an anticancer medication formulated with the active ingredient ribociclib. It belongs to a class of drugs known as CDK4/6 inhibitors and is primarily used in the treatment of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer in women whose cancer is locally advanced or has metastasized to other parts of the body. It is generally prescribed alongside hormone therapies such as letrozole or fulvestrant for greater therapeutic effect.

In addition to breast cancer, Kryxana may also be considered in treating endometrial cancer when used in combination with other medications, depending on the individual’s condition and treatment history. Ribociclib works by blocking the activity of cyclin-dependent kinases 4 and 6—proteins that are essential for cell division. By inhibiting these proteins, the drug helps slow or stop the proliferation of cancer cells.

This medication is not suitable for children or adolescents under the age of 18. You should avoid consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice during treatment, as it may increase the concentration of the drug in the bloodstream, leading to potential toxicity. Kryxana is contraindicated in women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and is intended for use only in women who have reached menopause. Common side effects include fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, hair loss, and a reduction in white blood cell counts.
