These red patches typically manifest on areas such as the scalp, elbows, knees, and lower back.

The formulation of Calpsor C Ointment includes two active ingredients: Clobetasol, a corticosteroid, and Calcipotriol, a synthetic form of Vitamin D. Clobetasol is a highly effective corticosteroid known for its anti-inflammatory, antipruritic (itch-relieving), and vasoconstrictive (blood vessel narrowing) effects. It inhibits the production of prostaglandins, which are chemical messengers that contribute to skin redness, swelling, and itching. Conversely, Calcipotriol, also referred to as calcipotriene, is a synthetic derivative of Vitamin D that functions as an antipsoriatic agent. It aids in reducing the excessive production of skin cells and is specifically used to treat plaque psoriasis (psoriasis vulgaris), a condition that leads to the formation of thick red patches on the skin, often accompanied by a silver or white scaly layer.
