This ointment is utilized for the treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis (eczema). Atopic dermatitis, commonly referred to as eczema, is a prevalent skin disorder characterized by inflamed and itchy patches of skin. Symptoms include itchy, dry, flaky, swollen, rough, and irritated skin.

This ointment contains ‘Tacrolimus’, which functions by inhibiting the excessive response of immune cells in the skin to various stimuli. Consequently, it alleviates allergic reactions and inflammation (redness and swelling).

Apply this ointment as directed. It is recommended to use this ointment for the duration prescribed by your doctor, based on your medical condition. Some individuals may experience itching, a burning sensation, redness, pain, or skin tingling. Most of these side effects associated with this ointment do not necessitate medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects persist or worsen, please consult your physician.

Inform your doctor if you have an allergy to Tacrolimus or any other medications. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is advisable to seek medical advice before using this ointment. Avoid consuming alcohol while using this ointment, as it may lead to flushing (a sudden reddening of the face or skin that causes a warm sensation). Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage or dressing. Additionally, refrain from smoking or being near open flames, as the fabric (bedding, clothing, dressings) that comes into contact with this ointment is flammable and can ignite easily.
