1 Tube 30 gm Ointment
Halovate Ointment is utilized to address skin issues such as itching, redness, irritation, and inflammation resulting from plaque psoriasis (characterized by scales and itchy, dry patches) or other inflammatory skin disorders. Swelling of the skin occurs when an allergic reaction or skin irritation triggers the release of various substances that dilate blood vessels, leading to itching, redness, pain, and swelling in the affected area.
Halovate Ointment contains Halobetasol, which functions by acting within skin cells to inhibit the release of specific chemical messengers that induce redness, itching, and swelling. Typically, these chemicals are released when the skin reacts to allergens.
Apply Halovate Ointment as directed. It is intended for external use only. Avoid contact with the nose, mouth, or eyes. If Halovate Ointment accidentally contacts these areas, rinse thoroughly with water. Some individuals may experience skin dryness, itching, pain, stretch marks, headaches, or a burning or stinging sensation at the site of application. Most of these side effects do not necessitate medical intervention and will gradually subside. However, if side effects persist or worsen, consult your physician.
If you have an allergy to Halovate Ointment or any other medications, inform your doctor. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should seek medical advice before using Halovate Ointment. It is not recommended for children under 12 years of age, as significant amounts of Halovate Ointment can be absorbed through their skin, potentially leading to adverse effects. Avoid applying Halovate Ointment to open wounds, windburned, sunburned, irritated, or dry skin. Do not cover or wrap the treated area with a bandage unless instructed by your doctor, as this may result in harmful effects. Do not ingest Halovate Ointment. In the event of accidental ingestion, seek medical attention immediately. Keep Halovate Ointment away from high heat or open flames, as the container may explode if exposed to such conditions.
