Treatment of Mantle Cell Lymphoma
Proteoz 2.5mg Injection works by precisely interfering with a critical cellular process. It achieves its anti-cancer effects by blocking a protein complex known as the 26S proteasome.
The 26S proteasome is essentially the cell's "recycling plant" for proteins. It plays a key role in normal cell function and growth by breaking down damaged, misfolded, or no longer needed proteins. This controlled degradation is vital for regulating various cellular processes, including cell division, gene expression, and programmed cell death (apoptosis).
In cancer cells, the proteasome often becomes overactive, helping these rapidly dividing cells to get rid of excessive or abnormal proteins and to survive. By inhibiting this system, Proteoz 2.5mg Injection disrupts the normal degradation of proteins within cancer cells. This leads to an accumulation of abnormal and toxic proteins inside the cancer cells. This buildup of unwanted proteins essentially overwhelms the cancer cell, making it more sensitive to chemotherapy and ultimately triggering its death. Consequently, this action effectively slows down or stops the multiplication of cancer cells throughout the body
