Additionally, it lowers the risk of blood clots following orthopedic surgeries (like hip or knee surgery) or abdominal surgeries. Fondared 2.5 mg Injection also helps prevent blood clot formation during and shortly after periods of limited movement due to an acute illness. Deep vein thrombosis refers to a medical condition where blood clots develop in deep veins, typically in the legs. Pulmonary embolism occurs when a blood clot obstructs the arteries in the lungs.

Fondared 2.5 mg Injection contains ‘Fondaparinux sodium,’ which functions by inhibiting the action of clotting factors (natural substances in the blood that promote clotting). This action prevents the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin (a protein that binds platelets together to form a clot), thereby aiding in the prevention of blood clot formation. It facilitates blood flow through the veins, reducing the likelihood of developing a serious blood clot.

Fondared 2.5 mg Injection will be administered by a qualified healthcare professional; therefore, self-administration is not advised. Some individuals may experience unusual bleeding, anemia (a low count of red blood cells), bruising, or swelling.
