Eltromag 25 Tablet is prescribed for treating low blood platelet counts in individuals suffering from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. Additionally, it is utilized for managing severe aplastic anemia (SAA) in adults. Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is an autoimmune disorder characterized by reduced platelet levels. Hepatitis C refers to an infection and inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus. Severe aplastic anemia occurs when the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient blood cells.

Eltromag 25 Tablet contains Eltrombopag, which is classified as a ‘thrombopoietin receptor agonist.’ Thrombopoietin is a glycoprotein hormone that promotes the development of megakaryocytes (large cells in the bone marrow) and regulates platelet production. Eltromag 25 Tablet functions by enhancing the number of these megakaryocytes, which are crucial for platelet generation. Consequently, Eltromag 25 Tablet aids in increasing the quantity of these bone marrow cells, thereby boosting platelet counts and reducing the risk of bleeding.

It is important to take Eltromag 25 Tablet as directed by your healthcare provider. Common side effects may include nausea, diarrhea, headaches, muscle aches, fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, anemia (a deficiency of blood cells), cough, and tingling sensations.
