Additionally, it is prescribed for renal carcinoma (kidney cancer) that has metastasized to other areas of the body, as well as advanced pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (cancer impacting hormone-producing cells in the pancreas).

The active ingredient in Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7’s is sunitinib. This medication functions by decelerating the proliferation of cancer cells through two mechanisms. It disrupts the activity of a protein that facilitates cell division, thereby reducing the production of cancer cells. Furthermore, it can inhibit angiogenesis, the process of developing a blood supply to cancer cells. This action restricts the nutrient supply to the cancer cells, ultimately leading to their death.

It is essential to take this medication precisely as directed by your healthcare provider. Common side effects associated with Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7’s include difficulty in breathing, elevated blood pressure, extreme fatigue, swelling due to fluid retention under the skin and around the eyes, oral pain or irritation, mouth sores, dry mouth, altered taste, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal discomfort, loss of appetite, reduced thyroid gland activity (hypothyroidism), dizziness, headaches, nosebleeds, back pain, joint pain, pain in the arms and legs, yellowing of the skin, rashes on the palms and soles, skin dryness, cough, fever, and sleep disturbances. It is crucial to notify your doctor immediately if any of these side effects persist or worsen.

Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7’s is not recommended for individuals who are allergic to any of its components. Caution should be exercised when prescribing Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7’s to patients with high blood pressure, heart conditions, diabetes, liver or kidney issues, skin disorders, pancreatic or gallbladder complications, a history of blood clots, or aneurysms (weakening of blood vessel walls).

Additionally, Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's can heighten the risk of bleeding, particularly if you are on anticoagulants like warfarin or acenocoumarol.

This medication may also lead to heart-related issues, so it is important to inform your doctor if you experience severe fatigue, shortness of breath, or swelling in your feet and ankles.

Furthermore, Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's can cause irregular heart rhythms, so please notify your healthcare provider if you notice dizziness or unusual heartbeats.

Caution is advised when using Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's in individuals with a recent history of blood clots, heart attacks, or strokes, as it may induce symptoms such as chest pain, shortness of breath, difficulty in speaking, unilateral weakness, or dizziness.

Patients with aneurysms (weakness in blood vessel walls), thrombotic microangiopathy (damage to small blood vessels), or liver and kidney issues should also use Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's with caution.

This medication may lead to inflammation of the pancreas or gallbladder, resulting in symptoms like upper abdominal pain, fever, and vomiting, especially in those with a history of pancreatic or gallbladder disorders.

Moreover, Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's can cause thyroid gland issues, so inform your doctor if you experience persistent fatigue and an unusual sensitivity to cold.

There is also a risk of skin ulceration (pyoderma gangrenosum) or infection (necrotizing fasciitis) associated with Mitant 50 mg Capsule 7's. Therefore, notify your doctor if you observe signs of infection around a skin injury, such as fever, pain, swelling, redness, or pus or blood drainage from the wound.
