This drug is prescribed for the treatment of Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph-positive CML), a type of blood cancer characterized by the abnormal production of white blood cells (WBC). It is indicated for both adult and pediatric patients who are newly diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (CML) or those experiencing adverse effects from prior treatments. Furthermore, it is also utilized for patients who no longer respond to previous therapies, including Imatinib.

You should not use this medication if you have an allergy to Nilotinib or any of its other components. It is important to inform your doctor if you have a history of heart issues (such as heart attacks or abnormal electrical signals), chest pain, strokes, or claudication (a condition affecting blood flow in the legs). Additionally, notify your doctor if you have liver or pancreatic disorders, or if you are experiencing low levels of potassium or magnesium.
