BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION is part of a class of anti-cancer drugs used to treat adult patients diagnosed with multiple myeloma and mantle cell lymphoma who have undergone at least one previous treatment. Multiple myeloma, commonly referred to as myeloma, is a form of bone marrow cancer that impacts various parts of the body, including the spine, skull, pelvis, and ribs. Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is a rare variant of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that arises when B-cells (also known as B-lymphocytes) become abnormal. B-cells are a type of white blood cell responsible for combating infections.

BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION contains ‘Bortezomib’, which functions by disrupting the activity of proteasomes, potentially leading to the death of cancer cells and inhibiting their growth.

BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION is prescribed by a physician who specializes in cancer treatment. It is administered by a healthcare professional either through an intravenous injection into your vein or subcutaneously under your skin. It is important to note that BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION should not be injected into your spinal fluid (intrathecally). Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count), neutropenia (low white blood cell count), peripheral neuropathy (nerve dysfunction), fatigue, neuralgia, anemia, leukopenia, constipation, vomiting, lymphopenia, rash, fever, and loss of appetite. Most of these side effects do not necessitate medical intervention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if any side effects persist, it is advisable to consult your doctor.

To effectively manage your condition, continue using BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Do not discontinue the medication prematurely. Before starting BORTENAT 3.5MG INJECTION, discuss with your doctor if you have any allergies or if you are experiencing peripheral neuropathy, hypotension, heart conditions, severe lung issues, pulmonary disorders, posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome, gastrointestinal disorders, or thrombocytopenia.
