Bracanat 100mg Tablet is an anticancer medication classified as a poly adenosine diphosphate-ribose polymerase (PARP) inhibitor, with Olaparib as its active ingredient. It is utilized for the treatment of pancreatic and prostate cancer. Cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled and abnormal proliferation of cells. This drug may be administered alone or in conjunction with other anticancer therapies.

If you experience symptoms such as breathlessness, chest pain, rapid heart rate, fever, cough, or wheezing, contact your doctor immediately. Your healthcare provider will perform blood tests prior to and monthly throughout the treatment, as this medication may lower the levels of red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC), and platelets. Inform your healthcare provider before beginning treatment if you have been diagnosed with any issues related to your lungs, liver, heart, or kidneys.

This medication is not advised during pregnancy due to the potential risk it poses to the unborn child, including the possibility of miscarriage. Therefore, it is recommended that women of childbearing age take a pregnancy test before initiating this treatment. Ideally, it is prudent to continue using birth control methods for at least six months following the conclusion of the treatment. Additionally, avoid breastfeeding while undergoing this treatment, as it is unclear whether Bracanat 100mg Tablet is excreted in breast milk.
