Etovel 50mg capsule is an anticancer medication containing Etoposide. It falls under the cytostatic drug category. This medication is prescribed for various cancers, including testicular cancer, small-cell lung cancer, acute myeloid leukemia (blood cancer), lymphatic system tumors (Hodgkin’s lymphoma, non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma), and ovarian cancer in adults.

Consult your doctor if you have undergone or are currently receiving radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Inform your physician if you have any infections or low protein levels (albumin) in your blood. The Etovel 50mg capsule should not be administered if you have recently received a yellow fever vaccination or any live vaccines. Both men and women are advised to use effective contraception during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. Men are specifically advised against fathering a child during and up to six months after treatment. The use of the Etovel 50mg capsule may lead to a decrease in blood cell levels, increasing the risk of infections. Consequently, your doctor may conduct regular blood tests to monitor your kidney and liver health. The safety of this medication in children is not established.
