MELFALAX 50MG

Melfalax 50mg injection contains Melphalan as its active ingredient. This anticancer medication falls under the category of alkylating agents. It is utilized in the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of bone marrow cancer. Additionally, it is prescribed for advanced ovarian cancer. Furthermore, it is indicated for the treatment of childhood neuroblastoma (a cancer affecting the nervous system), malignant melanoma (skin cancer), and soft tissue sarcoma (cancer affecting muscle, fat, fibrous tissue, blood vessels, or other supportive tissues in the body). The drug functions by decreasing the production of abnormal cells in the body.

Do not use Melfalax 50mg injection if you have an allergy to melphalan or any of its other components. Notify your physician if you have recently undergone radiotherapy or cancer chemotherapy, or if you have any kidney issues. This medication should not be taken if you are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. Inform your doctor if you have recently received a vaccination or are planning to get vaccinated. Immediately report to your physician if you experience a rash, lumps or hives on the skin, swelling of the face, eyelids, or lips, sudden wheezing, or chest tightness after taking the medication.
