Glioz 20mg Capsule contains temozolomide as its active ingredient. This medication falls under the category of Antitumor agents. It is used to treat brain cancer, including glioblastoma multiforme in adults and malignant glioma, which encompasses glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma in patients over three years of age. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are among the most prevalent and aggressive forms of brain cancer, associated with low survival rates. Anaplastic astrocytoma is managed with Glioz 20mg Capsule or radiotherapy following a biopsy, while Glioblastoma multiforme is treated with a combination of radiotherapy and Glioz 20mg Capsule, which continues as maintenance therapy.

Common side effects linked to Glioz 20mg Capsule include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, rashes, fatigue, frequent urination, vision and hearing issues, elevated blood sugar levels, muscle damage, pain in muscles and joints, memory impairment, coordination difficulties, infections, sleep disturbances, and weight loss. Notify your physician if you have an allergy to Glioz 20mg Capsule or any of its components. Prior to commencing treatment with this medication, inform your physician if you have a hepatitis B infection, anemia, low platelet count, reduced levels of RBC and WBC, blood clotting disorders, or any liver or kidney issues. Your physician will regularly monitor your WBC and platelet counts. It is advised to avoid this medication if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Both men and women should utilize birth control to prevent pregnancy and fathering a child.
