Augplat 250mcg Injection is used to treat chronic immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in patients who have not responded adequately to other treatments such as corticosteroids, immunoglobulins, or splenectomy.
This injection is administered by a healthcare professional, such as a doctor or nurse, who will ensure the correct dosage based on your specific condition and response to the medication. It is important to continue the treatment for as long as your doctor advises. Stopping the medication too early may lead to a return of symptoms or worsening of your condition.
Common side effects include headache, joint pain, insomnia, muscle pain, pain in the limbs, abdominal discomfort, indigestion, and paresthesia (a tingling or pricking sensation). These side effects are generally mild and temporary. However, you should inform your doctor if any of them persist or cause concern. Since the medicine may cause dizziness, avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Alcohol consumption should be avoided, as it can worsen dizziness.
Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have a history of blood clots, bleeding disorders, liver, or kidney problems. Also, provide a complete list of any medications, including prescription, over-the-counter drugs, or supplements, as they may interact with this medicine.
