L-ASGEN 5000 IU

L-Asgen 5000IU Injection contains L-asparaginase. It is utilized for the treatment of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (a type of cancer affecting white blood cells) in individuals aged four months and older. In cases of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia, the white blood cells known as lymphocytes proliferate in an uncontrolled and abnormal fashion. This condition is also referred to as Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia.

This medication should not be administered if you have serious pancreatic issues or if you are allergic to any of its components. Consult your doctor if you are diabetic, as this medication includes glucose. Common side effects associated with L-Asgen 5000IU Injection include muscle pain, nausea, infections, abdominal discomfort, and diarrhea.

It is important to use effective birth control while undergoing treatment with L-Asgen 5000IU Injection and for at least three months following the final dose. Women are advised to employ contraceptive methods other than oral contraceptives.
