This medication is indicated for the treatment of stage 3 colon cancer following the surgical removal of the primary tumor, as well as metastatic cancer of the colon and rectum. It is typically administered alongside other anti-cancer therapies. Colorectal cancer primarily arises in the rectum and large intestine and is the result of various genetic mutations accumulating over time. Both genetic and environmental factors significantly contribute to the development of colorectal cancer. This medication is effective against tumors that do not respond to cisplatin therapy.

Common side effects associated with Oxalvo 100mg Injection may include a decrease in blood cell count, a sensation of discomfort in the throat, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, indigestion, heartburn, blood clots, hematuria (blood in urine), hypertension, depression, insomnia, and low calcium levels.
