Taffic Tablet

Taffic Tablet is an antiretroviral medication that includes the active components Bictegravir, Emtricitabine, and Tenofovir Alafenamide. It is utilized for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. HIV-1 is a human immunodeficiency virus that primarily affects a person’s immune system, leading to its weakening by the virus. This infection gradually diminishes the immune system’s strength, increasing the risk of opportunistic infections.

Do not use this medication if you are allergic to Taffic Tablet or any of its components. In the initial phases of HIV-1 treatment, some patients may experience an inflammatory reaction to opportunistic infections, a condition known as immune reconstitution syndrome. This syndrome can manifest after initiating the drug or other antiretroviral treatments. It is important to be aware of this possibility and to monitor for any signs of worsening infections or inflammatory symptoms. Notify your doctor if you have a history of heart failure, pancreatitis, bone disorders, fractures, or liver or kidney issues. Patients with pancreatitis or those at risk for it should use this medication combination with caution. Throughout the treatment, your physician may regularly check your blood counts, bone mineral density, and liver and kidney functions to avert serious complications.

Adults who can become pregnant should consider using effective contraception to avoid unintended pregnancy. If you are pregnant or suspect you might be, your doctor may recommend an alternative treatment, as this combination is not advised during early pregnancy. Breastfeeding is discouraged due to the risk of transmitting HIV-1 from mother to child. It is crucial to inform your physician about all medications you are taking, including prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, and herbal supplements, to prevent any potential interactions.
