Acaone 100 Capsule is a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, also known as a cancer growth inhibitor, primarily utilized for treating individuals with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) who have undergone at least one previous treatment for their cancer. It is also prescribed for adults with chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) or small lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL). Cancer arises from genetic mutations that lead to uncontrolled cell division and the spread of these cells into surrounding tissues.

Acaone 100 Capsule contains Acalabrutinib, a specific tyrosine kinase inhibitor. Tyrosine kinases are enzymes that convey signals to cells, instructing them to grow and divide. Acalabrutinib works by blocking these signals to cancer cells, resulting in cell death when their signaling is interrupted. This mechanism may help to slow down the cancer’s progression.

For effective treatment of your condition, it is essential to continue taking Acaone 100 Capsule for the duration prescribed by your doctor. Common side effects include anaemia (a deficiency of red blood cells), neutropenia (a reduced neutrophil count), upper respiratory tract infections, thrombocytopenia (low platelet levels), headaches, diarrhoea, and musculoskeletal pain. If you experience any of these side effects persistently, consult your doctor.

It is advised not to use Acaone 100 Capsule if you are hypersensitive to any of its components or if you have severe hepatic impairment. This medication can cause fetal harm if administered to a pregnant woman. Therefore, it is crucial to avoid pregnancy during treatment and for several months afterward. Effective contraceptive methods are recommended while undergoing therapy with Acaone 100 Capsule. If you or your partner becomes pregnant during treatment, contact your doctor immediately. Breastfeeding is generally not recommended during this therapy, and alcohol consumption should be avoided. The safety and efficacy of this medication in children have not been established.
