Adfrar 40 mg injection contains Adalimumab, an antirheumatic agent categorized as a TNF (tumor necrosis factor) inhibitor. It is prescribed, either alone or in combination with other medications, to alleviate symptoms of various autoimmune disorders.

Its uses include treating rheumatoid arthritis, a condition where the body attacks its own joints leading to pain, swelling, and functional loss. It also addresses polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis in children, which causes joint pain, swelling, functional loss, and can impede growth and development.

Further indications for Adfrar 40mg Injection include enthesitis-related arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis (where the body attacks spinal and other joints, leading to pain and damage), axial spondyloarthritis without radiographic evidence of ankylosing spondylitis, and psoriatic arthritis (causing joint pain, swelling, and skin scales). It is also used for plaque psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa (a skin disease with pimple-like bumps in armpits, groin, and anal areas), Crohn’s disease, ulcerative colitis (causing swelling and sores in the colon and rectum lining), and non-infectious uveitis (swelling and inflammation of various eye areas).

Do not use Adfrar 40mg Injection if you are allergic to adalimumab or any other ingredients. It is contraindicated if you have active tuberculosis or other severe infections, or if you have moderate to severe heart failure. Inform your physician about any active infections before starting treatment.

Additionally, tell your doctor if you have lung problems, heart disease, or liver or kidney disorders before beginning treatment. If you are pregnant, suspect you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, consult your doctor for advice regarding this medicine
