Apatide tablet contains Apalutamide as its active component. It is classified as an anti-cancer medication within the group of androgen receptor inhibitors. This drug is prescribed for patients with specific forms of prostate cancer that have metastasized to other areas of the body and still respond to treatments that reduce testosterone (the male reproductive hormone), or for those whose cancer has not spread and is no longer responsive to such treatments.

Apatide functions by inhibiting the effects of androgens (male reproductive hormones), thereby preventing the growth or dissemination of cancer cells. It is important to notify your doctor if you experience any symptoms such as chest pain, indigestion, heart attack, difficulty walking, or numbness in the face and body. This medication is not advised for pregnant women, as it may pose risks to the developing fetus. Apatide can be taken with or without food. Additionally, this medication may lead to fertility issues in males. Therefore, men should avoid fathering children or donating sperm during treatment and for three months following the last dose. Effective birth control methods should be employed.
