Borviz 2mg Injection is a chemotherapy medication classified as a proteasome inhibitor, with Bortezomib as its active ingredient. It is primarily prescribed for the treatment of multiple myeloma, a type of cancer involving the malignant proliferation of plasma cells within the bone marrow, and mantle cell lymphoma, a rare form of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma that affects the lymph nodes. This medication is often used in combination with other chemotherapy agents such as pegylated liposomal doxorubicin, rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, dexamethasone, prednisolone, or thalidomide, particularly in newly diagnosed patients who are not eligible for blood stem cell transplantation.

Common side effects associated with Borviz 2mg Injection may include pneumonia, decreased appetite, skin sensitivity, tingling or burning sensations (neuropathy), nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, mouth ulcers, constipation, muscle and bone pain, hair loss, fever, infections, itching, redness, dehydration, and various digestive issues. It is important to notify your physician if any of these symptoms become severe or persistent.

Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you are allergic to Borviz or any of its components. This medication should be avoided in patients with severe heart or lung conditions. Additionally, disclose if you have pre-existing nerve disorders (neuropathy), heart disease, respiratory or pulmonary disorders, gastrointestinal conditions, blood cell count abnormalities (such as thrombocytopenia or neutropenia), tumor lysis syndrome, liver problems, or posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES). If you are diabetic, let your doctor know, as Borviz can influence blood sugar levels, and adjustments to your diabetes medication may be required
