ELIQUIS 5MG

Eliquis 5 mg Tablet is prescribed to prevent and treat deep vein thrombosis (blood clots in the leg veins) and pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs). Deep vein thrombosis occurs when blood clots develop in the deep veins, typically in the legs. Pulmonary embolism happens when a blood clot obstructs the arteries in the lungs.

Eliquis 5 mg Tablet contains Apixaban, which functions by inhibiting the action of blood clotting factor (Xa), a crucial component in the blood clotting process.

Not everyone taking Eliquis 5 mg Tablet will experience these side effects. Some individuals may encounter nausea, anemia, unusual bleeding, swelling, and bruising. Most of these side effects are not serious and tend to resolve on their own over time. However, if the side effects continue or worsen, it is important to consult your doctor.

This medication should be taken orally with or without food as directed by your physician. The dosage is determined by your medical condition and how you respond to treatment. To aid in remembering, take it at the same time every day.
