Firmagon 80mg Injection, containing the active compound degarelix, is prescribed for managing advanced prostate cancer—a condition where malignant cells develop and multiply uncontrollably in the prostate gland. As a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) antagonist, this medication works by rapidly lowering testosterone levels, which are crucial for the growth and survival of prostate cancer cells.

Since this medication can impact various bodily functions, routine monitoring of your heart, blood pressure, liver and kidney function, blood sugar, and electrolytes may be recommended to avoid complications.
