Gemtaz 1gm injection is a chemotherapy drug that contains gemcitabine as its active ingredient. It is utilized in the treatment of various cancers, including bladder cancer, breast cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. Cancer is characterized by the uncontrolled and abnormal proliferation of cells. If you have heart disease, liver issues, kidney problems, have recently undergone radiotherapy, or have been vaccinated, consult your doctor before using this medication.

Gemtaz 1gm injection is not advised for adolescents and children under 18 years of age. Your physician will evaluate your blood cell counts as well as your kidney and liver functions each time you receive this medication. It is important to use effective birth control during treatment and for at least six months following the final dose. This injection may affect fertility in male patients. Men receiving this treatment are advised against fathering a child during the course of treatment and for six months afterward.

Inform your doctor if you are following a salt-restricted diet, as this medication contains sodium. If you experience shortness of breath, wheezing, changes in the color or volume of urine, bleeding, or upper abdominal pain while receiving the Gemtaz 1gm injection, report these symptoms to your physician immediately.
