Glioz 100mg Capsule, containing temozolomide, is an antineoplastic agent used to treat brain cancers. Specifically, it’s prescribed for glioblastoma multiforme in adults and malignant gliomas, including glioblastoma multiforme or anaplastic astrocytoma, in patients aged three and older. Glioblastoma and anaplastic astrocytoma are aggressive brain cancers with low survival rates. Anaplastic astrocytoma is typically treated with Glioz 100mg Capsule or radiotherapy after a biopsy, while glioblastoma multiforme is managed with a combination of radiotherapy and Glioz 100mg Capsule, which then continues as maintenance therapy.

Common side effects associated with Glioz 100mg Capsule include nausea, vomiting, dizziness, diarrhea, constipation, hair loss, rashes, tiredness, frequent urination, vision and hearing problems, high blood sugar, muscle damage, muscle and joint pain, memory loss, coordination issues, infections, sleep disturbances, and weight loss. If any of these symptoms are bothersome or persist, inform your doctor.

Before starting treatment, tell your physician if you are allergic to Glioz 100mg Capsule or any of its ingredients. Also, inform your doctor if you have a hepatitis B infection, anemia, low platelet count, low red or white blood cell counts, blood clotting problems, or any liver or kidney issues. Your physician will regularly monitor your white blood cell and platelet counts. This medication should not be taken if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Both women and men should use effective birth control to prevent pregnancy or fathering a child during treatment.

The Glioz 100mg Capsule functions by powerfully obstructing the creation of essential genetic material, specifically both DNA and RNA, within the proliferating cancer cells. This crucial interference effectively prevents these cancerous cells from growing and multiplying, thereby significantly limiting the potential spread of the cancer to other areas throughout the body.

Always use this medication exactly as directed by your physician. Your physician will determine the precise dose based on your height and weight. Make sure to swallow the entire capsule with a glass of water on an empty stomach. Do not open, crush, or chew the capsule, and be careful to avoid skin contact with any opened capsules.
