Powercort-S 6% W/V Lotion should be avoided if you have an allergy to it or any of its components.
Powercort-S 6% W/V Lotion should be used cautiously for extended periods, as prolonged use may increase the risk of adverse effects. Halovate F Cream is indicated for the treatment of bacterial skin infections, including eczema, dermatitis, folliculitis (inflammation of hair follicles), and impetigo (red sores on the face). A bacterial infection occurs when harmful bacteria penetrate the skin and lead to infection. Atopic dermatitis is a skin disorder characterized by an overactive immune response, resulting in inflammation, dry skin, itching, and a rash that may appear purple, grey, or red in color.

Halovate F Cream contains two active ingredients: Halobetasol propionate and Fusidic acid. Halobetasol propionate is a corticosteroid that inhibits the production of prostaglandins (chemical messengers) responsible for redness, swelling, and itching in the affected area. Conversely, Fusidic acid is an antibiotic that obstructs the synthesis of essential proteins necessary for bacterial survival. Together, these components in Halovate F Cream effectively treat skin infections.

Your physician will recommend the appropriate dosage tailored to your specific infection. In some instances, Halovate F Cream may lead to common side effects such as itching, dryness, redness, and a burning sensation at the site of application. These side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention and tend to resolve gradually. It is advisable to discontinue use of this medication if you experience symptoms such as blurred vision, dizziness or fainting, a rapid, irregular, or pounding heartbeat, increased thirst or urination, irritability, or unusual fatigue or weakness.
Powercort-S 6% W/V Lotion is not recommended for use alongside other topical corticosteroids, such as betamethasone, hydrocortisone, or triamcinolone, as this may result in undesirable side effects.
Additionally, it is not advisable to apply cosmetic products to the affected area. Please inform your doctor if you are taking aspirin.
