Intaglob Injection 2 ml is classified as an ‘immunising agent’ and is utilized to address immunoglobulin (antibody) deficiency as well as specific inflammatory conditions.

It is indicated for treating immunoglobulin deficiency in individuals with primary immunodeficiency (PID), which is congenital, and secondary immunodeficiency (SID), which occurs later in life. Additionally, Intaglob Injection 2 ml is effective for managing inflammatory disorders such as primary immune thrombocytopenia (a decrease in platelet count), Guillain-Barre syndrome (temporary inflammation of peripheral nerves leading to weakness in the legs and upper limbs), Kawasaki disease (inflammation of blood vessels in children), chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy (CIDP, a long-term inflammation of peripheral nerves), and multifocal motor neuropathy (a progressive condition causing weakness in the arms and legs).

This injection contains ‘Human normal immunoglobulin’, which compensates for the lack of antibodies needed to combat infections and inflammation. It functions similarly to the immunoglobulins naturally found in the body. Immunoglobulins play a crucial role in the immune system by identifying antigens or foreign substances and facilitating their elimination. They also contribute to reducing inflammation by enhancing immune response.

Intaglob Injection 2 ml should only be administered by a qualified healthcare professional; self-administration is not advised. Possible side effects may include swelling or hardening at the injection site, headaches, pain in the face, back, arms, legs, joints, or neck, fever, flu-like symptoms (such as a runny nose and sore throat), mouth and throat blisters, and throat tightness. These side effects are generally mild and temporary. However, if any side effects persist or worsen, it is important to notify your doctor immediately.

It is advised against using Intaglob Injection 2 ml if you have allergies to any of its components or suffer from blood clotting disorders. Prior to receiving Intaglob Injection 2 ml, please inform your doctor if you have experienced any recent medical issues.
