Invista 70mg tablet contains Dasatinib as its active ingredient. It is primarily used to treat certain types of blood cancers, specifically in adults and children over the age of one. This medication is indicated for patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive (Ph+) chronic myeloid leukemia (CML) in the chronic phase who are newly diagnosed, as well as for those with Ph+ acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) who have not responded to prior treatments. Chronic myeloid leukemia is a cancer of the white blood cells caused by a genetic abnormality known as the Philadelphia chromosome, leading to an excessive production of abnormal white cells. Acute lymphoblastic leukemia, more common in children, causes immature lymphocytes to multiply uncontrollably and survive longer than they should, disrupting normal blood function.

Common side effects of Invista 70mg include diarrhea, fatigue, nausea, vomiting, muscle and joint pain, headache, rash, cough, changes in blood pressure, loss of appetite, and general weakness. If any of these symptoms become bothersome or persistent, consult your physician for appropriate guidance.

Before beginning treatment, it is important to notify your doctor if you are allergic to Dasatinib or any of the other components of the tablet. You should also inform your healthcare provider if you have a history of heart or liver conditions, breathing difficulties, chest pain, cough, hepatitis B infection, or any issues related to bleeding. Dasatinib can lead to a significant drop in blood cell counts, including platelets, white blood cells, and red blood cells, so routine blood monitoring is essential during the course of treatment. Additionally, inform your doctor about all other medications and supplements you are taking—including over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, antacids, and herbal products—to avoid harmful interactions. This medicine is not suitable for use in children under one year of age.
