IRONJECT 500MG

Ironject 500mg Injection contains the active substance Ferric carboxymaltose. It belongs to the important group of medications known as iron replacement products. This injection is specifically used to treat iron-deficiency anemia (a condition characterized by a decreased number of red blood cells due to lower levels of iron in the body) in both adults and pediatric patients who either cannot tolerate oral iron supplements or when oral iron supplements have proven to be ineffective. It is also clearly indicated to treat iron deficiency anemia in adults who have chronic kidney disease and are currently not on dialysis. However, this medicine is not recommended for pediatric patients less than one year of age.

You should not take this medicine if you are allergic to Ironject 500mg Injection or any of the other ingredients contained within this medicine. Furthermore, you should not receive Ironject 500mg Injection if you have anemia that is not specifically caused by iron deficiency, if you have an iron overload (meaning too much iron in your body), or if you experience difficulties in utilizing iron. It is crucial to inform your physician if you have conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, an infection, liver disorders, or low phosphate levels in your blood. It is important to note that incorrect administration of this injection may cause irritation and long-lasting discoloration at the administration site.

Additionally, you must inform your physician if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before initiating treatment with Ironject 500mg Injection. The most common side effects that you might experience include nausea, hypertension, flushing, reactions at the injection site, skin reactions, vomiting, and dizziness. Finally, you must tell your physician if you have previously experienced serious allergic (hypersensitive) reactions to other injectable iron preparations.
