Lenalid 15mg Capsule is classified as an Immunomodulatory agent. It contains Lenalidomide as its active ingredient. This medication is prescribed for adults suffering from multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is characterized by the malignant growth of plasma cells in the bone marrow, where these cells proliferate uncontrollably. Although this cancer is not curable, its symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic Syndrome encompasses a range of blood and bone marrow disorders that lead to the production of abnormal blood cells that do not function correctly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a rarer form of cancer that impacts the lymph nodes, while follicular lymphoma is a slow-progressing cancer affecting B cells.

Common side effects associated with Lenalid 15mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headaches, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, and issues related to the thyroid and skin. If any of these side effects become bothersome or persist, please inform your doctor.

Notify your doctor if you experience any allergic reactions to Lenalid 15mg Capsule or its components. Prior to starting this medication, inform your physician if you have a history of blood clots, heart attacks, or if you smoke or have elevated blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Additionally, inform your physician if you have viral infections such as hepatitis B, varicella zoster, or HIV. Throughout your treatment with this medication, your healthcare provider will conduct regular blood tests, as it may lead to a decrease in blood cell counts. This medication is not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
