Mabtas 100mg Infusion contains rituximab as its active ingredient. It is utilized for various disease conditions in adults. This infusion can be administered alone or in conjunction with other medications to treat non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer that affects B-lymphocytes, a type of white blood cell) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (the most prevalent form of cancer affecting B-cells). Additionally, it is indicated for the treatment of moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis (a disease characterized by the immune system attacking the body’s own joint cells) in combination with methotrexate for adults. Other applications include treating granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (inflammation of blood vessels primarily affecting the lungs and kidneys) in both adults and children aged 2 years and older. It is also prescribed for moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune disorder that leads to painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes of the mouth, throat, nose, and genitals).

Mabtas 100mg Infusion is classified as an anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody. This infusion should not be taken if you are allergic to rituximab or any other components of this medication, have a compromised immune system, or are experiencing any severe active infections. It is important to inform your physician if you have a history of heart disease, heart failure, or respiratory issues before starting treatment. Discuss with your doctor if you have ever had a hepatitis B infection, as there is a possibility of reactivation in some cases, which can be severe. It is advised to avoid pregnancy and breastfeeding while receiving this infusion.

Common side effects associated with Mabtas 100mg Infusion include blood infections, decreased red blood cell count, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, increased sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. If you are capable of becoming pregnant, use effective contraceptive methods during treatment and for 12 months following the last dose. This medication may lead to serious infusion reactions during or within 24 hours post-administration. Notify your physician or healthcare provider if you experience any adverse effects.
