MEROHUGE 500 INJECTION contains Meropenem which belongs to the group of medicines known as Antibiotics. It is used to manage various bacterial infections such as pneumonia (including community acquired pneumonia and nosocomial pneumonia), urinary tract infections, intra-abdominal infections, gynaecological infections such as endometritis and pelvic inflammatory disease, skin and skin structure infections, meningitis and septicaemia. It is also indicated for empiric management, for presumed infections in adult patients with febrile neutropenia, used as monotherapy or in combination with anti-viral or anti-fungal agents. MEROHUGE 500 INJECTION is also used in the management of neutropenic patients with fever that is suspected to be due to a bacterial infection and bacterial infection of the blood.
During the management, your doctor may do blood tests from time to time. MEROHUGE 500 INJECTION should be used with caution in patients with liver problems, kidney problems, and diarrhea. MEROHUGE 500 INJECTION is generally not recommended in patients with gastrointestinal problems and hypersensitivity reactions. Overdosage:
MEROHUGE 500 INJECTION will be administered to you only by a doctor or a nurse in a hospital, and so it is unlikely to receive an overdose. However, consult your physician or nurse if you experience any unusual symptoms.
