Pentasa Sachet 1 gm contains Mesalazine, which functions by inhibiting the production of certain chemicals, including prostaglandins, that are responsible for pain and swelling.
You may experience side effects such as diarrhoea, stomach pain, headache, nausea, vomiting, or flatulence (gas). Most of these side effects associated with Pentasa Sachet 1 gm do not necessitate medical attention and typically resolve on their own over time. However, if these side effects persist or worsen, it is important to consult your doctor.
Take Pentasa Sachet 1 gm exactly as prescribed. It is recommended to use Pentasa Sachet 1 gm for the duration advised by your doctor, depending on your medical condition. The medication should be taken one hour before meals or two hours after meals. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
