It is used to treat a variety of bacterial infections, including lower respiratory tract infections (like pneumonia and acute bacterial exacerbations causing breathing difficulties), urinary tract infections, pyelonephritis, skin infections, abdominal and biliary tract infections, female pelvic infections (such as postpartum endometritis or pelvic inflammatory disease), bacteraemia, and bacterial meningitis in infants and children. It is also used in conjunction with other antibacterial agents to manage neutropenia caused by bacterial infection.
Before any laboratory tests, inform your doctor or healthcare professional, as PIZOWAVE 2.25 INJECTION may interfere with medical investigations. It is crucial to inform your doctor if you are allergic to any antibiotics or other medicines. PIZOWAVE 2.25 INJECTION should not be used if you are allergic to penicillin antibiotics, cephalosporins, or other beta-lactam antibiotics. Avoid the concomitant use of other aminoglycoside antibiotics and vancomycin with this medicine. PIZOWAVE 2.25 INJECTION should be used with caution in pregnant and breastfeeding women, as well as in children above 2 months of age and elderly people. Your doctor will determine the correct dose based on your child’s age, body weight, and the severity of the infection.
