Pomalid 2mg Capsule is a chemotherapy drug that contains the active ingredient Pomalidomide. It falls under the category of medications known as immunomodulatory agents. This medication is utilized for the treatment of multiple myeloma in adults. Multiple myeloma is a cancer that primarily impacts specific white blood cells known as plasma cells. These cells proliferate uncontrollably and accumulate in the bone marrow, leading to damage to the bones and kidneys.

Common side effects associated with Pomalid 2mg Capsule may include shortness of breath, fatigue, weakness, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, back and bone pain, dizziness, tremors, upper respiratory infections, sleep disturbances, loss of appetite, low energy, muscle spasms, muscle weakness, numbness, tingling or burning sensations, low potassium levels in the blood, and anemia. If these side effects are bothersome or persist, please inform your doctor.

Notify your healthcare provider if you have an allergy to Pomalid 2mg Capsule or any of its components. Additionally, inform your doctor if you have high cholesterol, heart conditions, respiratory issues, blood clotting disorders, hepatitis B infection, neuropathy (pain in the hands or feet due to nerve damage), or if you smoke before starting this chemotherapy treatment. This medication is not recommended for adolescents and children under the age of 18.
