Reditux 100mg injection, containing the active constituent rituximab, is used to treat a variety of conditions in adults. It is administered alone or in combination with other medications for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (a cancer affecting B-lymphocytes) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (a common B-cell cancer). It is also indicated for moderate-to-severe rheumatoid arthritis, used in conjunction with methotrexate. Additionally, Reditux 100mg treats granulomatosis with polyangiitis or microscopic polyangiitis (blood vessel inflammation primarily affecting lungs and kidneys) in adults and children aged 2 years and older. Another application is in the treatment of moderate to severe pemphigus vulgaris, an autoimmune condition leading to painful blisters on the skin and mucous membranes.

Reditux 100mg injection belongs to the class of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibodies. It should not be used if you are allergic to rituximab or any other ingredients, have a weakened immune system, or are experiencing any severe active infection. Before starting treatment, inform your physician about any history of heart disease, heart failure, or breathing problems. It’s crucial to discuss any past hepatitis B infection with your doctor, as the infection may reactivate in some cases, potentially severely. Pregnancy and breastfeeding are not recommended during and after treatment with this injection.

Common side effects of Reditux 100mg injection include blood infections, reduced red blood cells, dizziness, facial and body swelling, itchy skin, diarrhea, increased sweating, and fluctuations in blood pressure. If you are able to become pregnant, use effective contraceptives during treatment and for 12 months after the last dose. This medicine can cause severe infusion reactions during or within 24 hours of administration. You must inform your physician or healthcare professional immediately if you experience any infusion reactions, such as increased blood pressure, chest pain, headache, breathing difficulties, vomiting, skin rashes, or throat swelling.
