Renoalfa tablet is a nutrient supplement containing the active ingredient Alpha Ketoanalogue, which belongs to the class of medicines called amino acids. It is prescribed in conjunction with a protein-restricted diet to delay the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD). This medication helps to reduce uraemic symptoms (which are caused by the accumulation of nitrogenous waste compounds that the kidneys normally eliminate), improves nutritional status, and reduces metabolic complications in CKD patients. It works by lowering urea levels in the bloodstream and slowing down the advancement of kidney disease, thereby delaying the need for long-term dialysis.

Do not consume Renoalfa tablet if you are allergic to Alpha Ketoanalogue or any of its ingredients. You should also avoid taking this medicine if you have hypercalcemia (high calcium levels) or abnormal heartbeats, as its administration may cause increased calcium levels in the blood and irregular heartbeats. During treatment, your doctor may recommend periodic monitoring of your serum calcium levels. It is important to notify your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding before taking this medicine
