TELURA

Telura tablet contains a combination of active substances: Efavirenz, Lamivudine, and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate. Efavirenz is an important member of the antiretroviral family, specifically classified within the non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NNRTIs). Meanwhile, Lamivudine and Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate are also significant antiretroviral or antiviral medicines, both belonging to the class of medications known as nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).

You should not take Telura if you are allergic to Efavirenz, Lamivudine, Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate, or any of its other medical ingredients. Patients who have been diagnosed with pancreatitis or are at risk of developing pancreatitis should take this combination of medicine with considerable caution. During the course of this treatment, your doctor may periodically monitor your blood counts, bone mineral density, and liver and kidney parameters to prevent serious complications from arising. It is crucial to report to your doctor if you have, or have had a history of, heart failure (especially concerning QT prolongation), seizures, mental health issues, pancreatitis (inflammation in the pancreas), bone disease (such as osteonecrosis, which is the death of bone tissue), fractures, liver problems (including chronic hepatitis B or C), or kidney problems.

You must inform your doctor if you are planning to get pregnant, or are currently pregnant, or even think you may be pregnant. Breastfeeding is not recommended while taking Telura due to the potential transmission of HIV from the mother to the baby.
