The active ingredient in Teravir Tablet is ‘Tenofovir disoproxil’, which is a ‘nucleotide reverse transcriptase inhibitor’. This medication functions by disrupting the normal activity of enzymes (reverse transcriptase in HIV and DNA polymerase in HBV) that are crucial for viral replication. It effectively alleviates the symptoms associated with both HIV and chronic hepatitis B infections.

Common side effects of Teravir Tablet include diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, bloating, gas, weakness, dizziness, headaches, abdominal discomfort, and fatigue.
