Trombonat 25 Tablet is utilized for treating low blood platelet counts in individuals suffering from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP) and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections. Additionally, it is prescribed for adults with severe aplastic anemia (SAA). Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura is an autoimmune disorder characterized by reduced platelet levels. Hepatitis C refers to the infection and inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis C virus. Severe aplastic anemia occurs when the bone marrow fails to produce sufficient blood cells.

Trombonat 25 Tablet contains Eltrombopag, which is classified as a ‘thrombopoietin receptor agonist.’ Thrombopoietin is a glycoprotein hormone that promotes the development of megakaryocytes (large cells in the bone marrow) and regulates platelet production. The action of Trombonat 25 Tablet involves enhancing the number of these megakaryocytes, which in turn boosts platelet production. Consequently, Trombonat 25 Tablet aids in increasing the count of these bone marrow cells, thereby stimulating platelet numbers and reducing the risk of bleeding.

It is important to take Trombonat 25 Tablet as directed by your healthcare provider. Some individuals may experience common side effects such as nausea, diarrhea, headaches, muscle aches, fatigue, loss of appetite, fever, anemia (a deficiency of blood cells), cough, and tingling sensations.
