Vantox-CP 1 gm Injection is an antibiotic belonging to the glycopeptide class, primarily utilized for treating severe bacterial infections in hospitalized patients. It is effective against infections such as ulcerative colitis (a chronic inflammation of the colon), bacterial septicemia (a blood infection caused by bacteria), and osteomyelitis (a bone infection). A bacterial infection arises when harmful bacteria proliferate in the body, leading to illness.

The active ingredient in Vantox-CP 1 gm Injection is ‘Vancomycin’. It works by inhibiting the formation of the bacterial protective covering (cell wall), which is essential for bacterial survival.

Administration of Vantox-CP 1 gm Injection will be carried out by a healthcare professional; self-administration is not advised. Common side effects include reactions at the application site, such as pain, redness, and swelling.
