Adstem 24 mg Injection is classified as a hemopoietic stem cell mobilizer. It is utilized in treating Non-Hodgkin’s Disease (a type of blood cancer affecting the lymphatic system) and multiple myeloma (a cancer impacting the plasma cells in the bone marrow) in conjunction with granulocyte-colony stimulating factor (G-CSF).

Adstem 24 mg Injection contains Plerixafor, which is part of the hemopoietic stem cell mobilizer drug class. Its mechanism involves binding to the chemokine receptor CXCR4, thereby inhibiting the interaction with its corresponding ligand CXCL12.

Adstem 24 mg Injection may lead to various side effects, including nausea, vomiting, headaches, dizziness, diarrhea, flatulence, fatigue, and discomfort at the injection site. These side effects typically do not necessitate medical intervention and tend to resolve on their own over time. It should be administered by a qualified healthcare professional. Self-administration is not advised.
