Azashine 200 mg tablet contains the active ingredient Azacitidine. It is prescribed for adults suffering from blood disorders, specifically Myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), chronic myelomonocytic leukemia, and Acute myeloid leukemia (AML), when they are deemed ineligible for a stem cell transplant.

In the case of Myelodysplastic Syndrome, the bone marrow fails to produce healthy blood cells due to its impaired function. Acute Myeloid Leukemia is a form of bone marrow cancer characterized by the release of improperly formed blood cells into the bloodstream. Chronic myelomonocytic leukemia is a rare type of blood cancer that results from an elevated count of monocytes among the white blood cells.

Azashine 200 mg tablet binds to RNA and DNA, interrupts their activity in actively multiplying cells, and exhibits a toxic effect on cancer cells.

Notify your physician of any prescribed drugs, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, as well as herbal products you are currently taking or have previously taken prior to the treatment. Some medications may interact with the Azashine 200 mg tablet and lead to unwanted side effects.

Administer Azashine 200 mg Tablet solely under the guidance of your doctor. Your doctor will determine the appropriate dosage considering your height, weight, and overall health status. The tablet is to be taken orally. Swallow it whole with water. Avoid breaking, chewing, or crushing the tablet.
