Enzalieva 40mg Capsule contains the active ingredient enzalutamide, which is classified as an androgen receptor inhibitor. This medication is prescribed for men diagnosed with prostate cancer. It is particularly effective for those with elevated testosterone levels, especially when other treatments such as hormonal therapy or testosterone-reducing surgery have failed to completely eliminate the cancer. Additionally, it is appropriate for metastatic cases where the cancer has spread beyond the prostate and responds to hormone therapy or surgical interventions aimed at lowering testosterone. Furthermore, it is indicated for prostate cancer that is sensitive to castration (surgical removal of the testicles) but is not metastatic, particularly in patients with a high risk of metastasis and biochemical recurrence.
It is advised against using Enzalieva 40mg Capsule if you have allergies to the active ingredients or any other components of this medication. This drug is not suitable for children and adolescents under 18 years of age. Men are recommended to employ effective contraceptive measures during treatment and for three months following therapy, as it may pose risks to a developing fetus. If you are pregnant or planning to conceive, consult your doctor regarding suitable contraceptive options. Monitoring of bone density is also suggested during the course of treatment.
Prior to starting treatment, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider of any existing infections, or issues related to the kidneys, heart, or liver. Patients with ischemic heart disease should be closely monitored for potential risk factors. Notify your doctor immediately if you experience any seizures, worsening headaches, disorientation, blindness, or other visual disturbances. It is crucial to disclose all medications, including over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and herbal supplements you are currently taking before commencing therapy.
