Imalieva 400mg Tablet contains the active ingredient Imatinib. This antineoplastic medication is classified as a tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It is prescribed for the treatment of both adults and children suffering from chronic myeloid leukemia (CML, a type of leukemia characterized by the uncontrolled growth of certain abnormal white blood cells) and Philadelphia chromosome-positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph-positive ALL). Additionally, it is utilized in the management of myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases (which involve abnormal blood cell growth), Hypereosinophilic syndrome, chronic eosinophilic leukemia (a blood disorder), gastrointestinal stromal tumors (cancers of the stomach and intestines), and dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (a cancer affecting the tissue beneath the skin).

Do not use Imalieva 400mg Tablet if you have an allergy to Imatinib or any other components of this medication. Prior to starting treatment, it is essential to inform your healthcare provider if you have any kidney, heart, or liver issues, if you have thyroid conditions, or if your thyroid gland has been surgically removed. It is also important to notify your doctor if you have a history of or currently have a hepatitis B infection, as this medication may reactivate the virus. While taking this medicine, report any symptoms such as bruising, bleeding, fever, fatigue, or confusion. Consult your physician if you are planning to conceive, suspect you may be pregnant, or are currently breastfeeding.
