Ledomed 25mg Capsule is classified as an Immunomodulatory agent. Its active component is Lenalidomide. This medication is prescribed for adults diagnosed with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma is characterized by the malignant proliferation of plasma cells in the bone marrow, where these cells accumulate and divide uncontrollably. Although this cancer is not curable, its symptoms can be managed. Myelodysplastic Syndrome encompasses a range of blood and bone marrow disorders that lead to the production of abnormal blood cells that do not function effectively. Mantle cell lymphoma is a rarer form of cancer that impacts the lymph nodes, while follicular lymphoma is a slowly progressing cancer that affects B cells.
Common side effects associated with Ledomed 25mg Capsule include nausea, diarrhea, constipation, muscle cramps, fatigue, fever, cough, headaches, back pain, breathlessness, rashes, and issues related to the thyroid and skin.
