It can be administered alone or in conjunction with another anticancer drug, such as cisplatin. Your physician may also prescribe corticosteroids, folic acid, and vitamin B12 to mitigate potential side effects.

Prior to each infusion, blood tests will be conducted to assess your kidney and liver functions, as well as to ensure you have a sufficient number of blood cells to safely receive this medication.
