Purplz 100mg Injection is an antineoplastic medication classified as an alkylating agent, with Bendamustine as its active ingredient. It is utilized for the prevention and treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (a type of cancer affecting the blood and bone marrow), non-Hodgkin’s lymphomas (cancers that develop in the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system), and multiple myelomas (cancer affecting plasma cells, a type of white blood cell).
Common side effects associated with this medication include headache, insomnia, fatigue, loss of appetite, and rashes. Serious side effects may also occur, such as bone marrow suppression, tumor lysis syndrome, and hepatotoxicity. If you experience any of these side effects or if they persist longer than expected, please inform your healthcare provider. This medication is often used in combination with rituximab, an immunotherapy agent, to treat various forms of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, including follicular lymphoma and mantle cell lymphoma. There is a potential increased risk of certain skin cancers (non-melanoma skin cancer) associated with this treatment. Consult your doctor for further guidance.
Treatment should not commence if your white blood cell (leukocyte) counts are below specified levels, which your doctor will monitor at regular intervals. This medication is contraindicated if you have an allergy to it. Men who wish to father children should discuss this treatment with their physician, as this injection may lower sperm production. Typically, this drug is administered as an intravenous infusion over 30 to 60 minutes and is usually given once every three to four weeks. Before starting Purplz 100mg Injection, inform your physician about all medications you have recently taken, including herbal remedies and supplements.
